A/C capacity calculation
Take the room floor area (10ft x 10ft = 100 sq ft)
Divide by 600
That gives the basic AC capacity
Add 0.5 tonn for every 5 people
For every 2500W equipment (sum all) in the room add another 0.5T
Eg: For a 10ft x 10ft room...
Sq ft = 100
Basic Capacity = 0.167 T
Assuming 2 people = 0.667 T
=> for a 10 x 10 room a 0.8T AC would be fine
If you do not want the above complex calculation... follow the thumb rule...
Take Square root of the floor area in feet and divide by 10... you will get the AC tonnage required
Always go for a Rotary compressor... your electricity bill will be 15-20% lower and also the noise will be low...not to mention the cooling efficiency
The best options in the sequence...
